Harbour days have been extremely popular in years gone by and the general consensus is that people would like to see them running again.
As you can imagine events such as this don’t organise themselves and this is one of the areas which could use your help.
At April’s Harbour Management Committee meeting it was agreed that some considerable planning would need to be done to emulate the success of previous years and a Harbour Gala Day group would need to be established to follow through on all of the important details.
As no such group is currently in place, and as insufficient time remains to do justice to a Harbour Gala this year, it was decided that we should focus our attention on setting up a group to plan and arrange an event for 2010.
