The Community Association is a residents’ association which was set up to look after village interests. It also administers the John & Mary Garden Trust Fund which is money that was left to the community to protect village assets and interests. A committee of 12 is appointed from all those attending the AGM which is usually held in October.

 

As well as looking after the John & Mary Garden Trust fund we try to help resolve local problems by working with the Council, the police and other official bodies.

The Association also supports local groups and initiatives with funding applications and options and provides a focal point to represent the views of the community on key issues such as the proposed development of the Castle etc.

An interesting fact you may be unaware of is that you are already a member! Anyone over 18 who lives in the Cruden Bay electoral area is automatically a member of the Association, but we do need more active involvement from more of our residents, if you think this one’s for you, please get in touch.
