Errolston Woods Spring Clean
Cruden Bay Community Association represents all residents within the Cruden Bay Polling District, that is the area defined by the electoral boundaries.

All residents over the age of 18 within this area are members of the Community Association. The object of the Association is to support and promote any activities that would improve the well being of the Community, in particular as it relates to health, education, recreation and social topics and through this support, foster a community spirit.

As a resident of Cruden Bay you are already a member of the Association, so why not pop along to any of our regular meetings which are held in the old Function Hall up stairs in the Kilmarnock Arms Hotel on the first Monday of the month, meetings commence at 7:15pm.

welcome
to the Friends of Cruden Bay website, this is a place dedicated to attracting the willing support of villagers who are prepared to give a little of their time in one way or another to make the village the wonderful place it aspires to be.

There’s no need to sit as a committee member on any of the important groups or organisations based in the village to do this, but by becoming a member of the Friends of Cruden Bay you can take an important step forward to be counted amongst those prepared to do a little bit for the good of the village. We also have BLOG running on this site where you can add any comments you think appropriate, click here for the BLOG.
Fiona Kennedy, friend of Cruden Bay
Fiona Kennedy once again attended the Christmas Lights switch on ceremony and delighted all in attendance with a wonderful selection of Christmas songs, firstly at the Christmas tree in the heart of the village and then afterwards at the village hall where local helpers had donated and laid on some refreshments for everyone who attended.
The Salvation Army Band were also there to add to the occasion and another memorable day was assured.

Fiona has become a special part of the Cruden Bay Christmas celebrations over the years and when she was Robbie Shepherd’s special guest on his Reel Blend show on Sunday 28th June last year Fiona stated just how much she enjoys sharing that special time with us, click the play button below to here what she said. You will require Real Player to listen to this clip, if you don’t have it you can download it here for free.
Ladies Bridge, The ATC get the job done!
On Friday 26th June the local Air Training Corps turned out in force to assist with the repainting of Ladies Bridge. An enthusiastic groups of young people ably assisted by a group of local helpers set about the task of getting our bridge painted. Ladies Bridge has been the focus of a great deal of media attention this past year or so as it’s deterioration sees the need for short to medium term replacement, click here to view galleries.
Many thanks to those who turned up to help with the Errolton Woods Spring Clean on Saturday 10th April.
It was great to see half a dozen new faces turn up to help with the clear up which also managed to cover the public footpath which runs from Morrison Place to Mill Park.  But once again a very special vote of thanks must go out to the members of the Air Training Corps who turned out in number, hopefully our next appeal for local help will generate a wee bit more local interest.
