welcome
to the Friends of Cruden Bay website, this is a place dedicated to attracting the willing support of villagers who are prepared to give a little of their time in one way or another to make the village the wonderful place it aspires to be.

There’s no need to sit as a committee member on any of the important groups or organisations based in the village to do this, but by becoming a member of the Friends of Cruden Bay you can take an important step forward to be counted amongst those prepared to do a little bit for the good of the village. We also have BLOG running on this site where you can add any comments you think appropriate, click here for the BLOG.
What’s happening at the Ladies Bridge
Ladies Bridge has been closed since being damaged during a recent severe storm.

Aberdeenshire Council closed it as a precautionary measure until the damage has been repaired.  An assessment is currently being carried out to determine the bridge's condition, to establish what repairs are necessary and how much the repairs are likely to cost.

Because of the bridge closure, the beach may now only be accessed via the golf course.

It is not yet known how long the bridge will remain closed.  However, Cruden Bay Community Association is actively involved in assessing the damage and are keen to progress the repairs so the bridge may be re-opened without delay.

Donations towards the repair of the bridge may be made at the Post Office, Chemist and paper shop, Red House, Kilmarnock Arms,  or donate online by clicking here.
